2009/10 SP Game Used Basketball Follow up
Just a quick followup on the now ~2 week old product. I dont know if everyone was watching football today or MTV or whatever, but the prices of the singles have tanked. Kobe jerseys for less than $5? Nothing really selling for over $10 unless its a logoman or a tag team or a nice multiauto, loks like flooding the market has really depressed the prices. I was going to pick up another case, but I think Ill hold off for now. This product should drop pretty quickly.

2009 Topps Chrome Football
Usually the first real release of the season (eclipsed this year by the UD base set), my case of Topps Chrome FB will get here on Monday. Ill post my results and thoughts soon after that. Early impressions are favorable, you pretty much know what youre going to get with Topps Chrome. Some people are disappointed with early sales, but the stuff usually doesnt take off until after week 1 when some unexpected RCs make a big splash. Should be fun!

2009 Upper Deck Football
Yup its been a busy weekend of busting wax for me. After the SPGU Basketball case, came this one.
If you're not in the know, this prodcut comes 12 boxes to a case, 16 packs to a box, with 20 cards to a pack. Each box should have 3 jerseys, 1 auto, 4 SP rc, and 64 base rc. Each case will toss in a cut auto, Same Day Signature auto, and a auto from the now defunct Premier Set.
Busting and selling the UD base set is a lot of work. Theres a lot of packs to open and sort, and you're going to have to assemble things into sets in order to move the cards. There arent a whole lot of huge hits, so youll have to make your money by selling sets and team lots.
I got for the most parts the stated hits in each box. My got about 2 of every SP rc, a decent premeir auto, a cut auto of a boxer i dont think anyones heard of, and my same day auto was of the recently cut Stephen McGee. Still, I should be able to recoup my investment by selling off some sets. As always, UD base has spectacular photography, probably the best of any football set this year.

Well, some people are off the bat going to tell you that this product sucks because its going to flood the market with cheap jerseys of the leagues mega stars. Im going to tell you that because of that, this is one the the best breaks of the year.
I opened up my own case a couple days ago, and was amazed by the value. This case ran me the same amount as Ultimate Collection a month back, but after ripping it, you didnt feel like you just flushed your money down the toilet. My case had 6 Jordan Jerseys, 3 Kobes, 3 Lebrons, a Logoman, 6 multi-patch cards, and a bunch of autos, most of which were pretty bad. Is this an obvious dump of sticker and game used material as UD loses its license? Yes. But when you as a collector get this much value, its hard to see it as a bad thing.

2009 Ultimate Collection Football Details Revealed
Well, Upper Deck revealed some pictures and info of this product on their facebook site, which you can visit here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=107092&id=61698633950&ref=mf
It looks to be a similar product to last year, 1 hit per box at $80. While the cards pictured look nice, this is a set up to be a terrible rip and flip. With only one real sellable card for $80, which has about a 50% chance of being a jersey which will sell for $10, your going to take a beating buying boxes fo this stuff. And with only 1 auto/memorabilia per case, you'd better hope it looks like that AP pictured on UD's website if your going to get close to your money back. I wish UD treated UC for football, baseball, and basketball like they do for hockey. 2-3 hits per box instead of 1, and you can almost get a good return on your purchase. As it stands right now, I most likely wont be buying any.

First post here
Well this will under construction for a bit as I start up. Ill post my thought here on a semiregular basis for anyone whose interested to see. Mostly stuff about video games, baseball cards, politics, whatever happens to cross my mind. See you soon!
